Our partners at Transfrontier Parks Destinations just returned from Mozambique with the following report:

We’ve just returned from camping in the wilderness and undertaking community work en-route. The community work included providing 2 libraries of books for schools in the town of Massingir, educating local communities in the use of mosquito nets before handing out high quality mosquito nets to around 1000 pregnant women and mothers with young children in the villages of Massingir, Machamba, Chimangue and Mapai. The expedition also provided children in these communities, who attend school sitting on the ground under a tree, with plastic desks for their laps (similar to a tray with spaces for their pencils and pens) so that they have something firm on which to write.
