Location location location... why did Conde Nast Traveler; the world’s most prestigious travel magazine chose our beach as one of the top 30 island beaches in the world in the article “The Ultimate Worldwide Island Beach Finder?” Of all the beaches in the world, Bwejuu was chosen to be included in this most prestigious group. We agree completely with the editors! Baraza Resort and Spa, opened in November 2009, has quickly become the resort that everyone is talking about in Zanzibar. There are 14 one bedroom villas and 15 two bedroom villas, as well as one Presidential two bedroom villa. All the accommodation villas are designed to characterize classic Swahili architecture featuring dramatic arches, cement Baraza benches and intricate hand carved cement decorations. The spacious villas feature luxury interiors, beautiful fabrics, hand carved furniture and brass lanterns, large bathrooms with luxury fittings as well as a spacious terrace and private plunge pool. The Frangipani spa in Baraza is an oasis featuring its own lap pool with underwater music, indoor and outdoor relaxation rooms, the Sultans bath-our signature treatment for two as well as a yoga center, fitness center and tennis court.

In this beautiful setting, reflecting a sophisticated Swahili style enhanced with candlelight and spice scented aromas, you can enjoy a variety of treatments and therapies, all aimed at relieving the negative impacts of a modern lifestyle such as stress & exhaustion.

Our team of professional therapists also offer an "Après Safari Treatment" which is a specially designed combination of treatments to soothe and rejuvenate after the dust and bumpy roads of the African Bush. An excellent option if you want to recover after an adventure filled African safari.

Rounding out the portfolio, we have The Palms and Breezes Beach Club and Spa. The Palms has six villas, each over 140 square meters with a bedroom, living room, full en suite bathroom, dressing room, extra room with it's own en suite bathroom & large furnished terrace with views of the Indian Ocean.

Each villa features a sophisticated interior composition in all colours of coffee and cream where filmy caramel coloured curtains billow, dark grained polished floors extend and the décor is a unique marriage of colonial grandeur and traditional design. On the veranda, a silk-draped four-poster Zanzibar Bed accents a sunken, midnight blue plunge pool with long views of the Indian Ocean.
