HH However we are extremely aware of the looming threat of the commoditization of the African safari experience, and are bit wary of the term “luxury” and what that means especially in the African travel industry. Above all, we are dedicated to presenting classic African travel experiences that offer luxury without gratuitous flamboyance.

At The Fazendin Portfolio, we strive to differentiate ourselves from “everyone else” and go above and beyond the basic services of other travel representation and marketing companies. Rather, we’ve created a rock-solid database of travel agents and tour operators who are actively selling travel to Africa, and with this list have captured and developed relationships with nearly 100% of the North American market for travel to Africa.

American travelers, and therefore travel agents and tour operators, are demanding new, innovative travel products and travel experiences that go deeper than tours of past generations. Many American travel agents and tour operators are finding success specializing in Africa by meeting this need for specialized, custom, authentic safaris.
We recently surveyed our key travel agent and tour operator contacts selling travel to Africa about what 2010 and beyond holds for their businesses and the industry at large. Key findings include Tanzania and Botswana emerging as top African travel destinations for 2010, dedication to online/social media in marketing African travel in 2010 and beyond, and a continued challenge in keeping up with and qualifying inquiries.
